We were thrilled to see so much momentum and enthusiasm for our Downtown Riverfront at the recent Riverfront 2025 meeting at the Main Library. On February 8th, over 400 guests in-person and 100 guests online and over 20 public and private projects represented, it was quite a night for our community!

Riverfront Parks Now co-hosted the event with the Downtown Investment Authority, Build Up Downtown, Jessie Ball duPont Fund and JaxParks.

The stars of the evening were updates on riverfront projects including:

Riverfront Plaza Park

The Shipyards West Park

RiversEdge Parks

Musical Park at the Performing Arts Center

Friendship Fountain

SkatePark under the Fuller Warren Bridge

Click into each one to see the slides presented at the meeting.  A full video and additional project updates are available from Build Up Downtown, one of our partner organizations.

In addition, the Riverfront Parks Conservancy was announced with veteran parks professional Barbara Goodman leading the new non-profit dedicated to the stewardship, activation and continued improvement of our current and planned riverfront parks and riverwalk.
